Completing tasks is easily the most satisfying part of using Todoist. Here’s how:
- Click on the circle to the left of the task name.
- Swipe right on the task you want to complete.
You can complete multiple tasks at once, too.
Uncomplete a task
In some cases, you may accidentally complete a task. Or you might complete a task then realize there’s still work to do. In those cases, you can uncomplete the task:
- Find the task in your completed tasks.
- Click the circle to the left of the task (Web, macOS, Windows) or swipe right on the task (iOS, Android).
After sub-tasks are completed, they will be crossed out and remain in place until their parent task is completed. If the parent task hasn’t been completed, you can simply uncomplete these sub-tasks as described above without going to your completed tasks.
If you have a recurring task, you won’t be able to uncomplete it. Replace the completed task by adding a new task in its place.
