There are times when you just want to see tasks from a certain project, a group of projects, or a section within a project. Things get busy, and all you want is focus.

In Todoist, search for tasks in a project, a sub-project, or a section with just a search query. For example, if you typed #Work, you’ll see all the tasks in the Work project.

Here are some other handy search queries to find tasks by a project, a sub-project, or a section:

QueryWhat it does
#WorkShows all the tasks in the “Work” project.
#*WorkShows all the tasks in projects which name ends with "work". For example, #Artwork, #Network, and #Work.

Quick tip

If you need to search for a project which has an emoji in its title, you can use an asterisk to replace the emoji. For example, instead of adding #Welcome 👋 in your query, you can add #Welcome *.
