Quick tip

You can add new lines by pressing Shift + Enter.

For task names, the editor supports:

  • Bold or italicizeĀ text
  • Turn text into a code block
  • Select text and turn it into a link
  • Strikethrough text by enclosing it with tildes ~

For task descriptions and comments, the editor supports:

  • Bold or italicizeĀ text
  • Add H1 and H2 headings
  • Turn text into quotes or code blocks
  • Add bulleted and numbered lists
  • Select text and turn it into a link
  • Strikethrough text by enclosing it with tildes ~

Remove formatting

  • To unfurl a URL in the task name, enclose it in backticks. For example: `google.com`.
  • To remove a link from a piece of text, highlight the hyperlinked text, click Link, and click the trash can icon.

Noteworthy

  • The task title editor utilizes a rich-text editor, and so Markdown syntax is no longer supported and there's no option to turn off the editor.
  • Markdown shortcuts are supported. For example, when adding links to text, type the closing character (i.e. )) as the last character after pasting the link. By doing this, the Markdown syntax is converted into a link.
  • There are different formatting options for task names, task descriptions, and task comments. This is due to limited space and that it isn't possible to fit formatting options, such as bullet lists, numbered lists, headings, or quotes.
